OPI Vintage Minnie Mouse - Swatches & Review

Happy Monday everyone! To start off the week I have a beautiful new collection from OPI to show you, the Vintage Minnie Mouse collection. This spring/summer release consists of four feminine shades, a pink creme, a raspberry jelly shimmer, a creamy red with a mesmerizing shimmer in the sunlight, and a heart glitter topcoat.
I know you've all seen tonnes of swatches of these polishes by now - but they're too pretty to pass up.
Keep reading for picture heavy swatches and review of each colour.

The first colour is If You Moust You Moust, a peptobismol coloured pink creme. You can see it compared against a few other similar colours in my post here. In short, this pink doesn't seem extremely original but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was unique to my collection! The formula on this colour was okay, it was still streaky after two coats but a third coat evened everything out nicely. My photos show the polish without topcoat - it is extremely glossy on its own!

Flat, indoor lighting.

I really liked how Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It looks over IYMYM, the shimmer is subtle over the creme finish and the heart glitter is too cute. I wouldn't say it was difficult to get the hearts out of the bottle, but it wasn't easy either - sort of like one would expect from a polish like this. You don't get a heart every time you dip the brush in the bottle, but with a little fishing you shouldn't have a problem getting one.

Here's a close up bottle shot of Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It for you. What colour shimmer do you see? It looks like purple and orange to me.

The next colour in the collection is an absolutely beautiful raspberry jelly polish with the most amazing shimmer - I'm All Ears. I once again used three coats for opacity with this polish, it looked opaque to the eye at two coats but my camera picks out imperfections so I used three for my swatches.

Look how squishy and jelly and shiny and perfect this looks in the shade! It reminds me of lipgloss.

Not sure what's going on with my middle finger here, but look at the shimmer when the sun hits it!

Of course I had to try putting Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It over top of I'm All Ears. I really like the way the shimmer in the two different polishes played together.

I love the way you can see the purple-blue-magenta shimmer as well as the orange shimmer. Beautiful!

The final polish in the collection is a surprise favourite for me. I wasn't really interested when I saw it - great, another creamy red from OPI..yawn..but boy was I wrong! The Color of Minnie (boy is it ever difficult to write 'colour' the American way) is a creamy red polish that has the most beautiful formula that I've ever used, it went on like butter. When the light hits this polish there is a radiant shimmer that comes out of nowhere!
Seriously people, I could have gotten away with only one coat of this polish, but I used two for my swatches. I'm going to try stamping with it soon I reckon. I'm not really a huge fan of red cars, but I would paint my car this colour, it's THAT gorgeous.

Look at that! That's not even hidden shimmer, that shimmer is out there for the world to see.

Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It over The Color of Minnie is once again a lovely combination, although it definitely changes the appearance. I've been wearing this combo as a mani and it looks magenta-pink, it's difficult to tell that it's really a pink layered over a red, but I still love it.

Overall I'm really impressed with the collection, I think OPI's four piece collections are super fun. I absolutely adore the theme - Vintage Minnie Mouse? Sign me up! I think the colours stick to the theme well, although I feel like they'd have been even better for a Valentine's Day release, not mid-June! I hope to show you some more layering combinations with Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It soon.

Will you be picking up any of the shades from this collection?
